Proposals for the future of Victoria Park

The reviving Victoria Park project will see a £2.9 million investment into the park with the support of a grant from the National Lottery Heritage Fund.

You can see the ideas and plans for different areas of the park by clicking on the headings below. These proposals have been developed in consultation with over 2,500 people in the community and aim to preserve the unique features of the park for future generations.

Thanks to funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund work will begin in 2022 on realising the plans next year, with a new events and activities programme. Restoration and building work will get underway later in the year, with the project due to be completed by early 2026.
