Proposals for the future of Victoria Park

The reviving Victoria Park project will see a £2.5 million investment into the park with the support of a grant from the National Lottery Heritage Fund.

You can see the ideas and plans for different areas of the park by clicking on the headings below. These proposals have been developed in consultation with over 2,500 people in the community and aim to preserve the unique features of the park for future generations.

The National Lottery Heritage Fund is expected to make a decision on the funding in November. If the bid is successful, work will begin on realising the plans next year, with a new events and activities programme launching in early 2022. Restoration and building work would get underway later in the year, with the project due to be completed by early 2026.
